Taking up their familiar 4-2-3-1 formation, the silkmen youngsters where in the ascendancy straight from the off. Manning, Price and James all coming close in the opening exchanges.
But it was Number 10 Ramani Manning who was to open the scoring when a nicely whipped in corner by Sean Holland was met on the Volley by Lewis Price at the back post, with the final touch coming by way of a glancing header from Manning.
It was soon to become one way traffic with the in form Lewis Price getting the second of the game as he followed up to tap in after a Tyler James shot.
The third goal was to follow soon after when the lethal Tyler James intercepts a sloppy pass from the blades centre-back and taps in from close range. 3-0
Just before half-time the Silkmen made it four, as Tyler James received the ball on the half turn and slipped in Liam Logan who finished well into the back of the net. 4-0.
The second half followed the theme of the first, with a succession of attacks at the United goal. It wasn’t long before it was five when substitute Ivan Teixeira finished coolly from inside the box into the far bottom corner. 5-0.
And the silkmen youngsters were not finished yet, when substitute Josh Clegg got himself on the scoresheet after following up a poweful Ramani Manning shot which slipped through the keepers legs, allowing Clegg to tap in from the goal line. 6-0.
After a sloppy period the visitors did get themselves on the score sheet with a consolation goal towards the end with a neat volley at the back post after a well taking corner.
Final score 6-1, as the silkmen u19 ‘A’ team keep up their 100% record so far this season. With a tough test away to Birmingham City ‘A’ in the cup next week.
