Our Community Sports Trust coaches have been out across Macclesfield, delivering Two thousand much-needed disposable masks to local care homes & East Cheshire Hospice
Our Community Coaches visited, Belong Carehome, Hope Green, Ingerley Court, Hollins Park and Leycester House carehomes and donated Two-hundred facemasks to each home, alongside that they donated 1000 maks to East Cheshire Hospice.
The donation of the facemaks will allow the care and medical staff to continue doing the fantastic work that they have been doing. This follows on from the 1000 facemask that were donated to a further five carehomes on Friday 24th April.
This has been made possible through the wonderful assistance from CST Trustee Mike Rance and the UK Shaanxi Chinese Association – which is a London-based organisation for Shaanxi citizens resident in the UK.
As a result of their invaluable help, our Community team received medical face masks for distribution across the borough as part of the Sports Trust’s care home project.
UK Shaanxi Chinese Association are a non-profit Chinese community in UK, which was founded in 2016.
There are about 1000 members so far, who are all Chinese natives – who originated from the Shaanxi Province and have now settled throughout the UK.
Their aim in UK, is to build stronger and better cultural, commercial and educational links between Shaanxi and the UK; whilst also symbiotically promoting links in the fields of business, arts, culture, tourism and information technology.
It’s fantastic to see the Silkmen providing help that has been made possible by our Silk Heritage and by the joint donated by Shaanxi Qikang Medical Management Co Ltd, Jinzheng Group, Xi’an Hongfu Group, Shaanxi Henan Hebi Chamber of Commerce and Shaanxi Hantang Cultural and Creative Research Institute.
The Macclesfield Town Community Sports Trust, Make it Macclesfield and Silk Road Horizon Ltd have all played a crucial role in the collaboration of this valuable project.
