About Us

Macclesfield Town FC first had an active role within the community in the early 1990s as a Football in the Community programme was developed with its main focus on using the sport as a way of increasing football participation whilst also promoting the club.

In 2007 a registered charity was created 'Macclesfield Town (Community Sports Trust) Ltd' (Charity No: 1136526) and have a team of 10 full-time and sessional staff.

We currently operate programmes in Cheshire and the South Manchester areas and engage with a wide range of benefeciaries in our local community.

Our main areas of delivery are in sports participation, education, health, social inclusion and elite performance. We also engage with the local community schools and clubs on a match day. Our wide range of diverse projects demonstrates we are now a well-rounded provider in many sectors, creating partnerships to develop and enhance community participation, engagement and cohesion.

If you are a business / community organisation and feel we could work together to improve the community we live in, get in contact so we can get things rolling.
