Premier League Primary Stars Update
Macclesfield Town Community Sports Trust are pleased to announce that the National League Trust in partnership with Premier League has offered a new grant which will run up until July 2021 in order for the trust to continue our Premier league primary stars programme.
The Trust has been running the programme since 2017 and it has grown in strength to strength.
Premier League Primary Stars uses the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.
Learning is connected to the real world of sport to enthuse pupils when tackling challenging PSHE topics such as resilience, diversity, self-esteem and fair-play.
Macclesfield Town Community Sports Trust staff work with teachers to deliver fun, educational sessions in a range of subjects within local partner schools.
Premier League Primary Stars has four values which we implement throughout our sessions these are
- Be ambitious – work hard and never give up on their goals
- Be inspiring – set a great example to others
- Be connected –work well with others and in a team
- Be fair – treat people equally and think of others
Community Manager Paul McGuire said
“This is and has been a fantastic programme to be part of. It’s allowed us to focus our attention on curriculum time activities helping children learn in a new fun way. We have been growing and improving our sessions over the last two years and with this new grant, Premier League Primary Stars will be a key part of the CST strategic vision for the coming future”.
Below is a video from one of our Local Primary Schools and about a young man called George and his journey with us at our Premier League Primary Star sessions.
Macclesfield Town Community Sports Trust would like to say a huge thanks to Sue O’Brien and The National League Trust for their continued support on this fantastic programme.
